Introduction to Stand-Up Paddleboarding at Veillon Beach in the most beautiful spot in Vendée!

 

Guided by a certified state instructor in the Veillon Estuary, also known as the Lagoon, stand-up paddleboarding introductory sessions invite you to discover the unique sensations of being above the water in a naturally stunning setting.

 

Starting from 12 years old, this water activity is open to anyone eager to experience this playful and refreshing sport. The instructor, holding a state diploma, is a seasoned expert, ensuring a safe experience and quality guidance throughout this aquatic adventure.

 

In these introductory sessions, a comprehensive learning experience will enable you to master the essential basics of stand-up paddleboarding:

 

Equipment description and adjustment: The instructor will first introduce the equipment used during the activity. You'll learn to recognize and adjust the stand-up paddleboard and paddle, tailoring them to your size and skill level.

 

Balance rules: Balance is fundamental in stand-up paddleboarding. You'll discover techniques to maintain stability on the board and learn to stand confidently.

 

Paddle management: Proficiency with the paddle is essential for moving across the water. You'll learn various paddling techniques, focusing on posture and appropriate movements.

 

Learning to propel and steer: Once you've gained balance and mastered paddling techniques, you'll be guided on movements to propel yourself across the water and navigate in your desired direction.

 

Different turns: You'll explore various methods for executing turns, enabling you to discover new perspectives and have fun gliding on the waves.

 

Safety rules and sea sense: The instructor will teach you essential safety rules to follow while stand-up paddleboarding. You'll also develop your sea sense by learning to read currents and water conditions.

 

The introductory sessions are structured so that everyone can progress at their own pace while fully enjoying the experience.

 

Beyond technical learning, it's also an opportunity to immerse yourself in the preserved beauty of the estuary, connect with the surrounding nature, and share moments of camaraderie with family or friends.

    Meeting point (20 minutes before departure): Veillon Parking, 85440 Talmont Saint Hilaire, first cabin on the right at the beach entrance.

     

    Option to store belongings in a locker, male/female changing rooms available on-site.

     

    Supervised by a certified state instructor.

  • Good to know

    Closed-toe shoes are mandatory (old sneakers, neoprene water shoes).

     

    Possibility to purchase neoprene water shoes on-site (€10).

     

    Bring a water bottle.

     

    - Bring a swimsuit to wear under the neoprene shorty wetsuit.

     

    - Hat, cap, sunglasses (with strap), and sunscreen.

  • TERMS OF CANCELATION

    - Cancellation by the customer:
    If the reserved ride is canceled by the participant less than 48 hours before departure, the amount of the service is collected.

    - Cancellation by Paddle Aventure:
    In the event of particular natural conditions (rain, strong wind, extreme temperatures) or linked to external events of force majeure, the cancellation of a ride gives rise to a full refund of any payment made by the customer, without giving right to any additional compensation. In this case and depending on its possibilities, Paddle Aventure facilitates and advises the organization of alternative activities.

  • OBLIGATION

    For all our activities, it is mandatory to know how to swim 25 meters and to be able to submerge yourself

    Wearing closed shoes is mandatory, presence of oysters and shellfish in the Estuary.

  • CAR PARK

    Two parking options are possible at Veillon beach: free parking and paid parking. Please note that during the summer period, crowds are high and places fill up quickly. Make sure you arrive on time for your activity by planning your route accordingly.
